Fees
General information
Please note all submissions must have at least one FULL conference registration. This requirement also applies to Situated Actions and PDC Places. Accepted submissions will be published in the conference proceedings only if at least one author completes a FULL registration.
If you are an author or co-author of two or more accepted submissions, please note that each accepted submission requires its own FULL paid registration. This is necessary to ensure the sustainability of the conference and is consistent with the policies of other major design conferences (such as ServDes, Cumulus, DRS, and others).
Please note the participation to the conference will be onsite only, with no online option under any circumstance. Online or pre-recorded presentations are not possible for Full Papers, Exploratory Papers, Workshops and Doctoral Colloquium. Situated Actions can occur before or during the conference and PDC Places take place before the conference. If you need a visa invitation letter, please write to pdc2026-design@polimi.it.
Fees depend on your country of residence and employment status. To determine your registration type, please check this list to see if your country is classified as low, lower-middle, or upper-middle income. If your country is not listed, it is considered a high-income country.
- To support your planning, we have compiled a list of budget-friendly accommodation options across different areas of the city.
- Full conference registrations include lunch and coffee/tea breaks on the day(s) of attendance, as well as access to all conference sessions, and the Opening Event.
- Only Early Bird registrations include the conference Social Dinner.
- One Day Passes include access to sessions, lunch, and coffee/tea for one day only. They do not include the Opening Event or the Social Dinner.
- Student attendees must upload valid proof of student status during registration (e.g., student ID or enrollment letter).
- Early Bird registration will close on February 18, 2026. Regular registration will be open until May 1 and Late registration will be open until June 1, 2026.
- To be published and presented at the congress, each accepted submission requires at least one registered author. If there are two or more submissions with the same co-authors, a separate registration is required for each submission.
Refund and cancellation policy
Since the congress organizer incurs certain expenses prior to the conference, it is necessary to apply the following cancellation policy:
- Congress registrations canceled on or before February 28th, 2026 are refundable but subject to a 50€ administrative fee for processing costs.
- Congress registrations canceled between March 1st and May 1st, 2026 are eligible for a 30% refund of the registration fees paid.
- Congress registrations canceled on or after May 2nd, 2026 are no longer eligible for a refund.
