The Politecnico di Milano’s Bovisa Durando Campus is located in Milan, in the Bovisa neighborhood, a former industrial area that, thanks in part to the establishment of the Politenico, has become an important hub of Milanese design.

Getting to the campus
The fastest and most direct way to reach the campus from other parts of the city is via the suburban train or Passante Ferroviario (see map below for all the suburban train stations). You can take the S1, S2, S13 trains and all trains departing from the Cadorna Railway Station, get down on the MI Bovisa Politenico stop, and walk around 5 minutes to arrive to the campus.
If you arrive by underground (metro), you will have to take the yellow line (M3 – Gialla), get down on the Dergano stop, and then walk around 10 minutes to arrive to the campus.
Bus 90 and Tram 2 stop at the Piazzale Bausan stop, which is a 5 minute walk away from the campus.

THE OPENING VENUE
Triennale di Milano
The conference opening and keynote speech by Thania Paffenholz will take place at Teatro Triennale, in Triennale di Milano.
Since 1923, Triennale Milano has been one of world’s leading cultural institutions, conveying the complexities of the contemporary world in a host of artistic forms: design, architecture, and the visual, scenic, and performing arts. Its aim is to find broader, more innovative ways of thinking, bringing the experiences of different cultures and languages together in a single place and time.

THE SOCIAL DINNER VENUE
CASVA
The conference social dinner will be held at CASVA. CASVA, the Centre for Advanced Studies in the Visual Arts, is a cultural institute of the Municipality of Milan established in 1999, which began operating in 2002.
Over time, it has evolved into an “archive of the archives of architects” who worked primarily in Lombardy, becoming a center for studies on architecture, design, graphics, figurative arts, and the visual arts as a whole, with particular attention to the cultural phenomena that have progressively shaped our society since the early 1900s.
Let’s enjoy a welcome drink, a free guided tour of the Archive, and a pleasant night outside on the terrace.
